Texas RioGrande Legal Aid continues to take calls from Rio Grande Valley residents who fear they have been victims of alleged fraud and theft by La Feria’s Park Girl.
Currently TRLA represents 43 Park Girl customers in a lawsuit regarding these issues. On Monday, December 5th, State District Judge David Sanchez issued a temporary restraining order in the case preventing foreclosure, eviction, or utility shut offs for these customers. The order also prohibits several companies from collecting payments on current Park Girl contracts. The order does not entitle any Park Girl customers to withhold their payments.
