TRLA attorney Fred Fuchs was awarded the first annual Texas Jurist Award from the Texas Review of Litigation at their evening banquet this past Friday.
Fuchs, who serves as the director of the University of Texas Law School’s Housing clinic and the coordinator of TRLA’s housing law group, has been an advocate for the poor since his law school days. He is considered a leading national expert on housing law and is well-known among the legal aid community for his tireless advocacy for the poor.
At the banquet Fuchs was introduced by fellow TRLA attorney Nelson Mock, a 1998 graduate of the University of Texas Law School, who has worked with Fred at TRLA for more than ten years. Several TRLA attorneys were in attendance to show their support.
