Kimbrough Honored with ‘Boots on the Ground’ Award

Pro bono attorney Charles R. Kimbrough was honored last night with the James B. Sales ‘Boots on the Ground’ Award from the Texas Access to Justice Commission.

Kimbrough is an attorney with Bickerstaff Heath Delgado Acosta LLP.  He received the award for his pro bono work with Texas RioGrande Legal Aid on the “Jarrell 13” case where he helped 13 Williamson County families with legal issues related to their purchase of property. In the last two years alone, Kimbrough donated more than 400 pro bono hours towards representing the families. The case was resolved in October 2011.

Mr. Kimbrough is a 1980 graduate of the South Texas College of Law and is a former President of the Caldwell County Bar Association. The award was given as part of the Texas Access to Justice Commission’s Champions of Justice Gala.
