Texas RioGrande Legal Aid (TRLA) Deputy Director Rodolfo Sanchez has been selected to be an inaugural fellow in a program developed by the Public Welfare Foundation, the National Center for Medical-Legal Partnership at the George Washington University School of Public Health and Health Services (NCMLP), and the National Legal Aid and Defender Association (NLADA). The program aims to build healthcare expertise among legal aid advocates.
During the year-long program, Sanchez will be part of a group of fellows that will have opportunities to learn from experts in healthcare administration, policy, research, and economics. Fellows will predominantly focus on the relationship between legal services and healthcare.
Twenty-four staff members from legal aid organizations across the country were selected for the fellowship.
