Texas RioGrande Legal Aid (TRLA) attorney Adriana Rodriguez has been recognized by the City of Laredo and Webb County as their Domestic Violence Advocate of the Year.
The honor was given to her by the Webb County Domestic Violence Coalition, a group of local law enforcement agencies and community partners that work together to combat domestic violence.
As part of the recognition, a city and county proclamation was ratified on September 26th. In addition, Rodriguez will be recognized at the 18th Annual Domestic Violence Coalition Conference in Laredo and will be the featured speaker at the Coalition’s monthly meeting in November.
A 2011 graduate of the University of Texas School of Law, Rodriguez began her work with TRLA as an Equal Justice Works Fellow focused on helping undocumented victims of domestic violence who also suffer from mental illness, including substance abuse. She is a native of Laredo, TX.
