Looking Back at 2015

2015 was a big year for Texas RioGrande Legal Aid (TRLA).

In addition to helping more than 15,000 low-income Texans with their civil legal needs, TRLA advocates saw themselves on the steps of the United States Supreme Court, witnessing the reunions between children and parents who haven’t seen each other in years, helping our veterans obtain the benefits they risked their lives for, and benefiting from another year of strong support from the state legislature.

Over the next few weeks, we will be taking a look back at some of the key moments and victories of 2015. We invite you to join us in the review on our Facebook page or  on Twitter.

To start off our reflection, we remember Krystal’s story. When Krystal was having problems with her financial aid office, she turned to TRLA for help. Today she is a role model and advocate for foster youth across Texas.
